This free, invite-only course was specifically geared towards Administrators and DON’s/ADON’s, but included pertinent information for various types of care settings, including SNF, ALF, and AFC.
Topics included Drug Diversion: Identifying, Preventing and Addressing the Problem and were presented by, Dean Schmiedt, Pharm D. Guardian Pharmacy of MN
During this course, attendees obtained awareness on various aspects of what drug diversion is, the unique ways in which it can present itself, and the multitude of ways in which it can negatively affect not only the resident, but the staff/families and the community.
Lunch was provided for all attendees, along with guided tours of our new (Since February 2017) pharmacy location!
