As an employee of Guardian Pharmacy, I wanted to recognize my fellow employees for something I’ve seen them quietly doing for years.
We have a box that sits on a table in the employee break room. It has a note that says “Hygiene Collections.” Employees have been adding to this box every week.
When it gets full, they donate the items to our group home providers, who then distribute them out to the clients who most need them. As, I understand they have been doing this for the past 5+ years.
We know that hygiene products are commonly not very affordable for those living on fixed incomes. Hopefully our contributions can allow for the recipient to instead spend their money on activities that might make their day brighter vs spending the majority of it on toothpaste, soap and other needed toiletries.
As we know, these items can quickly add up, leaving them with little or no remaining funds at the end of the month.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness Guardian team!!!
