Guardian Pharmacy of Minnesota recently announced a merger with Minnesota Pharmacy Solutions. Beginning January 1, 2016, the companies will operate as Guardian Pharmacy of Minnesota and continue to provide high quality pharmacy services to assisted living and long-term care communities across the state. Schmidt selected to merge with Guardian Pharmacy Minnesota as he is getting close to retirement age and wanted to provide protection for his employees and assurance for his clients.
Mark Boe will continue to serve as president of Guardian Pharmacy of Minnesota and Dean Schmiedt, Pharm.D, owner of Minnesota Pharmacy Solutions, will assume the role of director of consulting services. Current Minnesota Pharmacy Solutions employees Jane Hauer, PharmD, and Jody Ellingson, PharmD, will also join the Guardian Minnesota team.
With this new partnership, Guardian Pharmacy of Minnesota will expand its service offerings to include clinical services and consulting. With the addition of Minnesota Pharmacy Solutions, Guardian Minnesota will now serve more than 3,000 residents throughout the state.
